| Polish drivers are not very polite!!! They are more likely to swear on you than let you cross the street!!! |

| I am here to save you all some money, when you arrive at Warsaw there will be many "taxi drivers" offering you a lift, do not accept as you end up spending twice as much as you would have, had you just taken a minute to book a cab from the airport to your hotel. One mistake I will never make again. |

Poland Overview |
Situated in the very centre of Europe, Poland is between eastern and western Europe both geographically and in style. Modern day Poland is a mixture of developed areas, such as the capital Warsaw, and untouched rural areas.
Poland was hit by the war but has developed through this to become a fantastic country to visit. Over the last ten years it has greatly improved with business as the driving force. As well as having some historical cities and gorgeous landscapes, Poland is an endearing place to visit because of the great spirit of its people. |

Poland Essentials |
Warsaw – Once a glorious city, Warsaw was almost completely destroyed during the Second World War and so most of the buildings are relatively new. However, the capital of Poland still has some interesting sites particularly in the Old Town where there are some sterling efforts of recreating the buildings that were destroyed.
Krakow – This was the original capital of Poland, and is the most beautiful of the country’s cities. Krakow is full of historically important structures, and picturesque buildings particularly St. Adalbert’s Church.
The Tatras – This alpine range offers some magnificent views of mountainous peaks and glacial lakes. In the spring and summer months the Tatras are a delightful area to visit, especially if you enjoy hiking.
Great Masurian Lakes – The Masuria region of Poland is beautiful and enjoyable with its extensive lakes, canals and rivers. Fantastic on the eyes, and even more enjoyable if you are into water sports or long walks. |

Poland Calendar - Pick of the Year's Events |
